Economy

Aurangabad has an agrarian economy. It lies in a drought prone area. The main crops are rice, wheat, gram lentil and rapeseed. Other industries include electricity production (NTPC, Nabinagar) and Cement Production (Shree_Cement). Manufactured products include carpets, blankets and brassware.
